In times of great stress, there is an increase in abusive behavior. It is important to know that there are confidential hotlines that you can call if you feel that you are being abused, facing major mental health issues, or know of someone else being abused or neglected.

With the closure of schools, teachers and guidance counselors are no longer vigilant reporters of child abuse. If you have a reason to suspect that a child is being abused or neglected, there is a confidential hotline that you can call and report. The parent or caretaker does not know your identity. The parent or caretaker does not know your identity. A social worker is then assigned to investigate.
